Over the past couple weeks I've been getting questions via social media and the blog about the sectional in my living room. I appreciate your interest. It's always nice to know if a product (especially a large purchase) is passing the test of time.

Today, I thought I'd pop in and share some quick reviews of a few pieces that you may be interested in purchasing yourself. My thoughts are always completely my own here on IBC, whether a post is sponsored or not. However, I did want to point out that this is not a sponsored post.

Finally, since I'm currently transitioning my decor to fall (Fall Home Tour coming soon!) I'm using some older photos (taken a few months ago) with these reviews.

I've had this sectional for about 1.5 years. I still love it as much as the day I got it. I find it very comfortable. I'm 6'1″ and the length fits me perfectly. I have two cats (with their front claws removed), and they've caused zero damage to the piece. For fur removal I use a combination of a vacuum and clear packing tape rolled around my hand. This typically happens weekly. Both cats like the couch (which was also important to me.)

After some use, the back cushions do get slouchy looking. However, with a quick fluff, they look great again. Most of the cushions are reversible and interchangeable (with the exception of the corner) so if you tend to favor one area of the couch, you can move the cushions around or flip them upside-down. I usually do this seasonally.

I got this table almost three years ago. I love me a little farmhouse, so the style is perfect. It's also extremely sturdy, and I love the turned wood legs. With the extensions, this table can seat a crowd. However, the way that the table is set in my space, I don't have enough room to use them. (That's my bad.) My issues with the table center around the tabletop.

First, the color is more of an orange rather than a natural pine color. Also, the pine is very soft. I have several nicks and small gouges from everyday use. Finally, the top is planked. There are gaps between a few of the planks that are large enough to collect dust and crumbs. This makes the table top a pain to clean, and it looks gross if you don't. So, if the color goes in your space, and you're very careful with the top, this could work for you.

I decided to share this as a lesson learned. I fell for the hanging chair trend and bought this somewhat impulsive. While the quality of the chair is spectacular and solid (It easily holds my brother who is a big guy.), I just don't use it that much. It's more of a conversation piece, and everyone who comes into my house tries it out. To be honest, it's really not that practical. I do have hope for it, though. I'm thinking that in my next house I'll be able to use it outside under a porch or overhang. I think that would make more sense, and it would get used more. My point here: Think about the practicality of things before purchasing them.

Recommend: Yes, if practical.

CB2 Office Furniture (Stairway Bookcases and Go-Cart Rolling Desks)

I've had both of these pieces for about two years. First, let's talk about the Stairway Bookcases. I really do love these guys. They fit perfectly in the space and create great storage. The finish on them has also held up well. Sometimes, finishes like this will yellow with time or exposure to sunlight, but these guys have stayed crisp and white. My only complaint is that sometimes they are overwhelming to style and decorate. Ha! Because my computer faces these, I find myself looking at them a lot. I'm constantly wanting to move things around. The open sides and back make styling them a little more tricky than the standard bookcase.

How's That Holding Up | Inspired by Charm

The Go-Cart Rolling Desks are holding up just as nicely. While a white desktop is hard to keep spotless (You will usually find a coffee ring or two on my desk.), they are easy to clean. The only issue I have with the top is where my iMac sits. I think it's the result of metal on metal. The area looks a bit worn. I'd recommend using a monitor riser or first putting some pads under anything metal. Overall, both pieces are serving me well.
